Die mit Funkelementen versehene Musik der Porter Band gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut. Sie gründeten sich 1979 in Breslau. Das Team, bestehend aus polnischen und englischen Musikern, hatte mit ihrer 1980 erschienen 1.LP "Helicopters" auch internationalen Erfolg. Es wurde in der Geschichte der polnischen Rockmusik als eine der besten Produktion gewertet. Rhythmisch und geradliniger Rock mit phantastischen Bassläufen bestimmen die Songs. Durch die in diesem Zeitraum vorherrschende Zensur durch Kulturbehörden des Landes lösten sie sich schon 1980 auf. 1993 fanden sie sich wieder bis 2002 zusammen und es entstanden weitere Alben.
